What Will You Do With Your New Year?

Happy New Year everyone! I want to touch base with all of my readers today. This will be a short blog entry today but one I want you to think about seriously.

Do you know what I love about the New Year? We have a chance to start over and to do better. We have a chance to have new goals. We have a chance to let go of old hurt and pain. We have a chance to right what wrongs we can. We have a chance to live again. We have a chance to love again. We are blessed with newness and the opportunity to make new choices. We can leave the old behind and look toward the new things life has to offer. We get to choose all over again!

What are you going to choose to do with 2019?

I have some very specific things I will be doing and working on this year; specifically finances, writing, and work with human trafficking survivors. God began opening doors late in 2018 that are setting me up for things He has for me in 2019. I have a new book (wow) coming out in February 2019, The Great Journey: A Story of Lorolaen – my first allegory. I also am starting off with a book signing in later this month for my first book, The Road Less Traveled: A Story of Love, Pain, Hope and Everything In-Between. I will be announcing these things on my website very soon! I can’t wait to see what God does through my 2nd book! I can’t wait to see what He does in my life this year! I look forward to new adventures and meeting new people!

I have real sense of peace I have not had in a long time. I have a sense of purpose I have not had in a long time. Has anyone else been there? The Lord spent 2018 freeing me from lies and people that were bad for me. I can’t wait to see what He brings into my life that is good in 2019. I have all confidence and trust in Him to lead me in the way that is right for me!

What do you want to do in 2019? What do you need to be rid of in 2019? What do you need to let Jesus finish in you?

I want to encourage everyone reading this today to carefully consider all of these questions I have posed. We are 3 days into a new 365 day year – you have 362 days left to write a different story, a better story, a God story. Use the time wisely. Get ready, get set, and go!

Philippians 3:14, NIV; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Pressing in and pressing on in 2019, Elizabeth
