Hello everyone!
In the last few days, I have been taking a tally of some of the people and things in my life. I am to the point in my life where I only want to be surrounded by things and people that are good for me and good to me. I have also been taking tally of my temperament and looking at the specific gifts, talents and interests God has given me. In conjunction with all of this, I recently started a book called Necessary Endings by Henry Cloud - an excellent book that I highly recommend.
I am not just collecting this information, I am going to use it. There are some necessary endings I can already see I need to make to grow in my life and in what God has for me. There are some new adventures I need to go on and some new things I need to step into this year. There are some people I will be distancing myself from, not because I don't love them but because they are not God's best for me. There are some new things I need to do with my finances and some things I need to continue that I am already doing.
I say all of this to say, take tally of your life, your personality and the people in your life. Not everything or everyone is beneficial or good for you. Not everyone who claims to be for you is for you either - some are only for you as long as they benefit from you. Use the information from the tally of your life and take it to God. Get his opinion - it's the only one that matters. Take your information and his information and make the necessary changes and ending you need for your life. I am not promising this will be easy or comfortable. I don't think it will be comfortable or necessarily easy for me either but it is something I must do for me. I can tell you this when Jesus is on your side, you can do anything and He will walk you through it, no matter how difficult. I know I will come out on the other side of this a better person than when I started and more importantly, I'll be right in the center of what God wants me to do.
Take you tally, make your changes and watch your life soar to greater heights!
