Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Hello everyone! I wanted to write a short blog today to about my old feline friend, Little Girl. Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to Little Girl. She was 19 which made her 126 years old in human years. She lived longer than most cats and had a good, happy life. She was loving and eccentric in her own way. She loved the garage, butter and being petted. She also liked to spend time by herself.

I firmly believe our animal friends go to Heaven and wait for us there. If you don't believe me, read the book Heaven is For Real or pick up the children's version and you will see what I mean. They do live again! God loves animals too because He created them and they are good!

Our pets are like family. They are all special to us; be it a dog, cat, bird, reptile, fish or rodent, in their own ways. Making the decision to let them go is tough but animals should not suffer needlessly in old age or if they are ill beyond help. God gave us the responsibility to care for them and help them and we should take that seriously.

I will be adopting a new kitten in the next month or so. Little Girl has gone to join other pets I've had and probably knows some of your pets now too. I am so glad God created cats. He must have liked their personalities and their general way of doing things. I sure do.

I would like to encourage all of you to adopt animals if possible. Also, if you can't afford to keep a pet, please do not get one one in the first place. Afterall, mankind is responsible for the animals on this planet so let's make good decisions whether it be wild animals or pets.

I'll see you in Heaven Little Girl!

Until Next Time,

Elizabeth
