Hello everyone and Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!
I always loved getting flowers, especially roses from Jeff so I thought a pink rose would be perfect for today.
I want to encourage you today, that even if you don't have an official "valentine" (I don't have one and that is okay), Valentine's Day is not just about romantic love but about love in general. I have always enjoyed Valentine's Day because I could show my family and friends how much I loved them with cards, gifts and of course candy.
I look forward to one day having another official "valentine" but until that day and even after, I will use this holiday to convey my love for others - Jesus' love for others more importantly.
St. Valentine, for whom Valentine's Day is named after, was not pursuing romantic love when he was imprisoned in Europe, he was preaching the gospel. He was sharing the love of Jesus, a far higher calling. I want my single readers to remember this. I also want you to know that as you pursue Christ and His calling, he tends to add to your life and that includes valentines.
I will say it again, Happy Valentine's Day all! Pursue love, for it trully is the greatest thing the world has ever known!
